While our bread and butter here at Corn Upholstery is booth and banquette seating, we offer a variety of other upholstered and sewn products for your custom furniture needs. In this post we’ll focus on showcasing our softer side with our custom accent pillows and cushions. With our extensive upholstery knowledge, we love to take on most anything having to do with sewing and fabrics. Corn Upholstery custom cushions give you and your client the ability to match the design intent both inside and outside. Many designs call for beautiful, hardwood benches or millwork that need a little help to be as comfortable as the client would like. That’s where a Corn Upholstery custom cushion can fit.
These differ from our custom seat and back pads. Unlike upholstered pads, our cushions contain no solid substrate and consist of a high-quality foam shape wrapped in your choice of COM. This construction allows for a removeable cover resulting in easy cleaning as well as the ability to flip or store away easily.
Most cushions tend to be a minimum of 2 inches thick to provide adequate seating comfort, but cushion height is ultimately determined by the optimal seat height. Standard seat height is usually somewhere between 18-19 inches, so depending on the height of your base, the cushion will be added to it to achieve the preferred 18-19 inch height.
