How to Brush Velvet Fabric
Velvet is one of the more luxurious upholstery materials you can choose. The look and feel have been coveted by everyone from royals to average homeowners for centuries. It’s so soft and feels so unique that it has become its own adjective, “velvety”.
The beauty of velvet is unparalleled, but its luxury is balanced by its maintenance. Velvet has a grain to its pile that can take on “bruising”. The bruising pattern created in velvet can add to the look if it creates a random pattern that adds to the texture of the fabric. But sometimes the bruising can look a little off. When that’s the case, you can take steps to renew the look of your velvet grain. All you need are some basic tools and a bit of knowhow to make your velvet furniture look pristine again. Give our instructional video a watch and bring back that pristine look to your velvet pieces.
